Rannoch Hub ~ Coming Summer 2024

Rannoch Community Trust are undertaking an exciting project to transform the former Outdoor Centre into an exciting multi-use venue to serve at the heart of the Rannoch Community.

H&H Construction have been appointed as the main contractors, working with our architects StudioEast. Building work will commence in June 2023 and will take around 1 year to complete. We hope that Rannoch Hub will be open for use in Summer 2024.

The hub will provide much needed facilities to both Rannoch’s residents and visitors alike.

Community Office space will provide an opportunity for the area’s numerous, clubs, groups, organisations and businesses to access high quality computing and printing services while developing opportunities for collaborative working. Office and Meeting space will be provided free of charge to local community groups.

Community Meeting Room will offer a private but informal space that can be pre-booked for small meetings or individual appointments. This will enable individuals, local community groups and also external agencies to offer and facilitate services in the area.

Toilet Facilities will be available to all, free of charge, during the centres opening hours.

Public Outdoor Space will be created to the front of the Hub making use of the large grassed area which we intend to develop into a terrace providing outdoor seating, meeting areas and possible performance areas. A new footbridge will help connect the site to existing walking paths and provide a safe traffic free walking route from the village centre to the hill paths.

Cafe/Restaurant/Bar facilities will generate the revenue required to support the operation of the Hub while providing a social meeting space for residents and visitors to enjoy, with food served throughout the day.

Employment opportunities will be created through the operation of both the Office & Meeting spaces as well as the Cafe/Restaurant/Bar. As well as full time management roles it is envisaged that the hub would provide around 10/12 further positions with both full time and part time roles available.

Community Funding any excess profit generated by the Hub will be invested through Rannoch Community Trust, to support future projects and development within the local community.
